   When selecting a local hip hop artist to be presented with INAJAM's very first week of Artist Spotlight, Lantana was an obvious candidate as he represents Cincinnati hip hop nation wide. The motivated and self proclaimed "All Hustle, No Luck" rapper offers a style of music that expresses the hunger for success. The radio hit single "All Hustle, No Luck" is constantly being played nation wide. Most fans who are familiar with local hip hop within the Greater Cincinnati area are well aware of Lantana and how he has landed a record deal with RCA Records and Polo Grounds Music. It's what has got him to this point in his career that has become most inspiring.

   

  The story begins as Marcus Waldon who just a few years ago was incarcerated in prison. Its hard to believe in this short amount of time Waldon became Lantana changed his life and proved that hard work results in success. Millions of artists around the world dream of singing to a record label and spend their entire lives attempting to do just that. Lantana accomplished that in less than two years of being realeased from prision. As the spotlight shines on Lantana's career he continues to achieve and be presented with awards for his craft. Dan Gotti, oce the manager and videographer for Lantana has played a key role in his success as they've both recieved numerous local and Ohio Hip Hop awards as well as having the privilege to perform on BET's 106&Park and Sway in the Morning. 

 

  Inajam Hip Hop would like to recognize Lantana on his success and wish him the best as he represents Cincinnati hip hop. Lantana defines "Hustle" and makes it very known that people will have to hear him. Fame will open many doors for artists, for Lantana it has given him the oppurtunity to give back and inspire others as he has made numerous visits to local schools and even the prision he was once incarcerated at. With Lantana being the first mainstream hip hop artist from Cincinnati to reach the level of success that he has, he is certaintly paving the way for other local hip hop artists on both sides of the I-75 bridge.
