  Week one was a huge success for InaJam Hip Hop as we released our first artist spotlight, featured videos, mixtapes and other music from local talent within the tri-state area. Week 2 is no different, perhaps even more superior as we present the hottest, young up and coming artist straight out of Cincinnati, Lil Bodie.

 

  I can recall the first time I heard Bodie on a track, as I was watching his "Solo, Dolo" video on Youtube. My initial thought was "this isn't just a rapper, Bodie is a complete artist" who not only has a distinctive sound and flow, but more importantly has the ability to lyrically place real life events into his craft and do it well. It's simply "Real" hip hop. 

 

  Think about hip hop in the nineties, N.W.A for an example was a huge influence of recognizing reality and placing it into their music. Bodie's record "Life I Chose" from the Have Mercy Mixtape resembles that type of message more closely than one may of thought. Hip Hop is constantly evolving but always seems to come full circle by returning to it's roots. We've seen it over and over again, those who have lived in the streets and have gained the credibility to speak about the streets in a way that no one else can usually produce the most genuine hip hop. Lil Bodie is a prime example of this type of artist as many top Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky artist's are as well.

  

  Although Bodie hasn't released a mixtape in over a year he has recently been seen on his social media accounts recording in the studio, performing at venues, doing radio freestyles, as well as claiming he was Made 2 Be King. (The name of the Music group he and Witeboy are now associated with.) It seems that the next project may be coming very soon. Bodie did dropped the "Hot Ni**a Remix" via Youtube in which was featured on our first week of featured videos that can be viewed here.

 

  Cincinnati stand up now, get behind your boy and don't wait for the bandwagon because Lil Bodie is up next. Follow Lil Bodie on social media and soundcloud above.
