   This weeks artist spotlight Young Rome, has a story that has been told many of times via media outlet's and news broadcast's. Rome has been on a journey not only to gain success through music but also too overcome the struggles of life.

 

  "Rome Wasn't Built In A Day", the quote is being used by Rome regularly and is the title he's given too his last two mixtape's he's released. The title has become the phrase that represents his life, music, and future. Before the music and the recognition Rome has received through his craft, Roman Hill had been incarcerated in prison for three years. Being in prison for three years is not no accomplishment, its a struggle and degrading time in one's life. I know this personally by witnessing my father being in the same situation for two and a half years. Being released from prison is an opportunity to view life decisions and opportunities in another way, and that's what Rome did.

 

  Rome wasted no time when being released and chased those opportunites, as he went back to a college university where he played basketball and pursued his passion for hip hop.

 

  How does Rome get any time for sleep? He probably doesn't, would be my guess. This artist has become one of the top artists in the area and has been featured on nation wide platforms numerous times. Rome has over a 380,000 views on his YouTube channel and thousand of mixtape downloads. 

 

  Young Rome has the ability to be signed by a major record label, however I'm not convinced he even needs that push behind him. I think with Rome's talent and the music he has created up to this point, he could potentially be the next successful independent hip hop artist.
